Master in Mathematics Education
The course will develop skills in mathematical modeling through practical experience.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the process of creating a mathematical model starting from simple known problems to give an idea about Mathematical model describing with the steps required in Model formulation. Emphasis will also be given on computer implementation of models. Known mathematical tools especially differential equation will be used for the analysis of the model. So the course mainly focuses on the types of real situational problems which can be formulated as differential equation or system of differential equations. Graphical representations of the model solutions are emphasized using CAS, and the interpretation of the solution with the real situation problems.
Models are drawn from applications including biology, physics, economics, finance, and chemistry.
